SEO FOR UK BUSINESSES
Get found by the people already looking for you.
Most of your future clients are searching for what you do right now.
SEO is the work of making sure they find you instead of a competitor — done properly, explained plainly, and reported on honestly.
BEFORE WE START
Most SEO is sold badly.
Here's what we won't tell you.
We won’t promise you a number one ranking. Nobody can, and anyone who does is either guessing or lying.
We won’t lock you into a twelve-month contract before we’ve proved anything.
We won’t send you a monthly report full of numbers that go up but don’t mean anything — impressions, “keywords tracked”, domain authority. If your enquiries haven’t changed, the report should say so.
What we will do is tell you honestly whether SEO is worth it for your business at all. For some, it isn’t. If you’re in a market where nobody searches, or where three national brands own every result, we’ll tell you that on the first call rather than take your money for six months.
Featured case study.
Finance
Growing every month in a highly competitive, unregulated industry.
A search-led refinement that improved visibility and lead quality.
WHY IT MATTERS
Four things that move the needle.
Technical foundations
Speed, crawlability, structure, schema, mobile performance, fixing what’s broken. Unglamorous, and the reason most sites underperform.
The right keywords
Not the ones with the biggest search volume — the ones your actual buyers type when they’re ready to spend. Usually longer, more specific, and far less contested.
Answering questions
Pages built around what people are genuinely searching for, written to be useful rather than stuffed. This is what earns rankings now.
Local visibility
Google Business Profile, local citations, location pages that don’t duplicate each other. If your clients are within an hour’s drive, this matters more than anything else.
HOW WE WORK
Start with a review, not a contract.
01
Free search review
We look at where you currently rank, what you’re visible for, what your competitors are winning that you aren’t, and whether there’s enough search demand in your market to justify the work.
You get the findings whether or not you go ahead.
02
The plan
A prioritised list of what to fix and in what order, with a realistic view of what each change is likely to be worth.
No jargon, no 40-page PDF nobody reads.
03
The work
Technical fixes first, because they’re the fastest wins. Then content and visibility, month by month.
04
Honest reporting
Monthly, in plain English. What we did, what changed, what it means, and what’s next. If a month was quiet, the report says so.
EXPECTATIONS
SEO is slow.
Here is the honest timeline.
Technical fixes can show up in weeks. Content and rankings usually take three to six months to move meaningfully, and competitive terms take longer.
Anyone promising results in thirty days is selling you something else.
If you need enquiries next month, SEO is the wrong tool — we’ll say so, and point you at something that works faster.
SEO FAQs.
How long before I see results?
Technical improvements can show within weeks. Content and rankings typically take three to six months to move meaningfully, longer for competitive terms. Anyone quoting faster than that is overselling.
Can you guarantee a number one ranking?
No, and neither can anyone else. Google’s results change constantly and no agency controls them. What we can do is make sure you’re doing the things that reliably improve visibility, and show you honestly whether they’re working.
What does SEO cost?
It depends on how competitive your market is and how much work your site needs to start with. We’ll give you a figure after the free search review, once we know what’s actually involved.
Do I need a new website first?
Sometimes. If your site is slow, badly structured or built on something that fights against search, SEO work will underperform no matter what we do. We’ll tell you honestly during the review rather than take the money and blame the site later.
Am I tied in?
No long-term contract. SEO takes months to work, so we’ll be straight that leaving after eight weeks means you won’t have seen much — but the choice is yours and always is.
What's the difference between SEO and Google Ads?
Ads buy you visibility immediately and stop the day you stop paying. SEO takes months and keeps working. Most businesses eventually want both; if you need enquiries next month, start with ads.
Do you do SEO for sites you didn't build?
Yes, often. We’ll audit it first — if the site is built in a way that makes SEO an uphill battle, we’d rather tell you that up front.
What reporting do I get?
A monthly report in plain English: what we did, what changed, what it means and what’s next. Plus access to the underlying data if you want to see it yourself.
