Longton Optical reached out to Reason8 to create a brand new website for their Opticians in Preston. They also tasked us with marketing the website on search engines, as well as managing updates and security on the website.

Building the concept.
Longton Optical initially reached out to Reason8 for hosting and website management. After a long discussion and a website audit, we found a lot of problems with the website that were holding back Longton Optical from succeeding online.
From website performance, security to design, the previous website was not up to the job and was not representing Longton Optical to the best of its ability.
They deserved a new website. We wanted to make a modern website, however, Longton Optical informed us that a majority of their customers were over the age of 50. So, making the website easy to use, accessible yet in line with modern design techniques and web technologies was an interesting project for us to get stuck in to. Simple things, such as large text, easy-to-digest information and simple colour schemes were methods were undertook to achieve an easy-to-use website.
Longton Optical opted for one of our VIB Packages, which means they were offered our best website design package, as well as 12 months of search engine optimisation (to reach and attract higher intent customers) as well as 12 months of hosting and website management, to ensure data and the site remains safe and trusted for visitors.

Outcomes.
Longton Optical went from an old, outdated, poorly designed website with very little information, to a brand new, modernised, website jam-packed with information and is built to convert customers.
The website is engaging from start-to-finish with modern design techniques and user experience principles that have been applied across the site.
Also, with super-localised SEO, Longton Optical is now in a position where they will climb the rankings and win more customers through organic search within their local area.
