We were tasked with building a modern, exciting, classy website for a prestigious hair and beauty salon in Leicester.
Providing a range of services, Meraki Hair needed a website that reflected their brand, their offering and their ethos – and that’s exactly what their brand new website does.

What was the brief?
Meraki Hair had an existing website with basic information, but it simply wasn’t up to the job of reflecting the high quality brand and service that Meraki Hair is. Based on Queens Road in a very popular part of Leicester, Meraki Hair needed a beautifully designed website that also contained all of the information on the services they offer to their clients.
Meraki Hair had existing branding that they wanted incorporating on to the website, and they required their booking system embedding on the website for ease of use.
The constant throughout the brief was to reflect a classy, approachable look that reflected their physical positioning in Leicester. We incorporated many methods to convey this during the build, through the use of transparent headers and video to bring the website to life.
What did we do?
Firstly, we put together the preliminary design for the website, including the existing Meraki Hair branding. We then started to add content to the website, including reviews and services. We also did some work with the salon’s existing booking management system, and we were able to embed this on to the Meraki Hair website. No longer will people be redirected to a third-party website – all traffic can now stay on the Meraki Hair website, where enquiries and bookings can all happen in one place.
We re-used some existing content, such as blogs, for the new website. But we didn’t stop there – we then spent time optimising all of the pages and blogs for SEO, to improve Meraki Hair’s chances of ranking higher in search engine results.
We worked closely with Meraki Hair to make any changes they deemed appropriate to the website. During the website build, we consistently optimised for SEO, but also tested the website on both mobile and tablet to ensure that the website was functional across all devices.
Once the website design was completed, we then set up the appropriate integrations such as Hotjar and the embedding of the Instagram Feed on the homepage. We then connected the domain after transferring it to our self-hosted service, and published the website live to the public, which saw a huge intake of visitors and even booking enquiries on the same day.
